Purification

To preserve the integrity and energy of crystals, careful and regular purification is essential, choosing methods that are suitable for their sensitivity.

Among the various techniques available, such as using water, salt, or earth, we particularly recommend smudging and the indirect use of salt. These two methods are ideal for all types of crystals, especially those sensitive to water and salt. They prevent potential damage caused by direct contact with water or salt, offering a safe and effective way to gently cleanse your crystals.

Adopting these indirect purification techniques ensures not only the preservation of the physical structure of the crystals but also the maintenance of their energetic purity and properties.

Recharging

To revitalize and enhance the energy of crystals optimally, recharging is just as crucial as purification.

This practice aims to restore the intrinsic energy of crystals, increasing their effectiveness in various uses, whether therapeutic, spiritual, or meditative. Exposure to natural light, such as the soothing moonlight or the invigorating sunlight, is often recommended for its effectiveness.

There are also other methods such as burying crystals in the earth, using clusters of quartz, geodes, selenite plates, as well as Tibetan or crystal singing bowls.

To avoid altering the properties of your crystals (cracks, corrosion, discoloration...), we recommend using exposure to the light of the full moon. This gentle and safe method ensures the preservation of your crystals' integrity, while being suitable for all types of crystals, thus maintaining their vitality and energetic effectiveness.

Legend

Amethyst gets its name from the Greek "amethystos," meaning "sober." This gem was once renowned as an effective remedy against drunkenness.

According to Greek mythology, Dionysus (or Bacchus in ancient Rome), the god of wine, desired a nymph named Amethystos, who, however, wished to preserve her chastity. She implored the help of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and a symbol of purity, who answered her prayer by transforming her into a white stone block, thus saving her from Dionysus. Offended, Dionysus poured wine over the stone, coloring the crystals a shade of purple.

This stone was particularly favored by Queen Margot, who owned a residence near Chateauneuf-les-Bains, a place famous for its amethyst mines, highly prized by jewelers.

In the past, it was common to serve wine in cups made of amethyst, which intensified the wine's color. As the guests became intoxicated, the wine was discreetly replaced with water, exploiting the belief in amethyst's ability to prevent drunkenness.

Considered a symbol of wisdom and devotion, amethyst has traditionally been used for episcopal rings since the Middle Ages, earning it the nickname "bishop's stone." Furthermore, knights setting off on crusades often wore an amethyst attached to their rosary.

Amethyst is a multifaceted stone, offering both beauty and spiritual depth. Whether used for meditation, energetic protection, or simply for its aesthetic, Amethyst is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enrich their collection of natural stones.
